Meet your therapist

Kristin Smondrowski, LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has provided services for children, adolescents, and families for over 10 years. I am licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Taking a systemic approach to therapy, I aim to understand my clients in the context of their various environments and relationships. Together, we will identify strengths, barriers and goals to determine the direction of our sessions.

Once a therapeutic relationship is established, I work with the client to target identified issues. Family involvement is of the utmost importance, and I encourage all members of the family system to be part of the therapeutic process. Through compassion and warmth, I provide a safe environment for clients.

My areas of expertise include behavioral issues, Autism, developmental delays, poor self esteem, attachment issues, trauma, anxiety and depression.

Fav cheese: Kristin’s favorite cheese is fresh mozzarella!

Her proudest moment: I am proud of the effort it took to pursue my career goals. From a young age, I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children, and worked extremely hard to earn the opportunity to do that on a daily basis!

  • I received my BA in Psychology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and earned my Masters in Clinical Counseling from La Salle University.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist.

  • I wanted to help children find their voice and provide them with tools to work through everyday problems.

  • Connecting with the children on their level, making therapy a positive AND fun experience.

What families are saying about Kristin

“It’s so sweet - I am seeing my old daughter back. She seems much more carefree, like she used to be. She is able to joke around, laugh at herself more and she stopped shaming herself so much. My advice to other parents? Just do it, every minute you wait is a mistake.”

- Manatee mom

“Therapy made a big difference for us. I realized I need to be the one in charge, so my daughter feels safe again. Over the past year, my daughter has been pulling away, spending lots of time alone in her room, but since we started with Manatee, she’s way more social and enjoys her time with our family a lot more. Manatee in 3 words? Simple, effective, easy.”
