A surprising fact
😮 I’m the youngest of four sisters, all 1 year apart, which basically means I grew up mastering the art of surviving hand-me-downs (and stealing the good stuff when no one was looking).

Joanie Nelson

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in Southern California, with roots on the East Coast in Vermont and New York. I work with kids, teens, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, and the sometimes messy parts of growing up and being in relationship with others. My approach is warm, collaborative, and affirming, and I enjoy incorporating creative tools like play, art, and experiential activities to help young people feel understood, support neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients, and help families build stronger connection and communication.
