What we don't do
Manatee is designed for outpatient, family-centered mental health care. We are not the right fit for:
- Acute crisis or emergency care
- Inpatient or residential treatment
- ABA therapy or specialized eating disorder programs
When families need a different level or type of care, we help make the right referral.

What care at Manatee looks like
Care is delivered in structured 12-week plans designed around each family’s goals. Therapy is not linear, and meaningful change often has breakthroughs, setbacks, and adjustments, so progress is measured throughout care.

Referral
- Manatee receives your referral and reaches out to the family
- Family completes a quick questionnaire
- We verify their insurance and eligibility
- Family schedules their intake session with a matched provider
Full family intake
- Patients and their caregivers attend the intake
- They work with the provider to define goals and care approach
- We inform you when the intake and treatment plan are complete
Regular therapy sessions
- Client has weekly therapy sessions
- Caregivers have monthly parent sessions and can add counseling
- The full family has another session together every 12 weeks
- You receive a monthly summary of the patient's care progress
